Provo has given me a great deal. I grew up hiking Rock Canyon and fishing Provo River. Provo’s School District taught me my ABC’s, and BYU gave me my college degree. I started my business in Provo, and now I draw on Provo’s pool of qualified employees. Most importantly, Provo gave me a place to start my family and raise my five children. There is simply no better place to live, work, and play.
Four years ago I asked for your vote. I committed to you that if elected, I would be fiscally conservative, work to limit government, and exercise common sense. I also warned you that I would not look to government to solve all our problems. I pledged that I would study the issues, listen to the stakeholders, ask the right questions, and make the tough decisions. I have followed through on my commitments.
We can all be very proud of Provo. You can be proud of Provo’s recent national recognitions as a “Best Place” to live, work, and play. You can also be proud of the outstanding financial shape Provo is in. Provo continues to improve with new public safety resources, new parks and recreation facilities, and new roads. I am committed to the same solid principles of hard work and common sense.
I ask for your support, your trust, your vote.
