Steve was elected to the Provo City Council on November 4, 2003.
Steve was born in mesa, AZ on July24th, 1968. While attending BYU, Steve started his roofing company, TNT Roofing, which he still operates today. During his education at BYU, Steve received the BYU Marriott School of Management's Entrepreneur of the Year award and served as BYU Student Body Vice President.
In 2000 Steve left his business for two years and worked for RPM Inc., a top FORTUNE listed company. He then returned to TNT Roofing and ran for the city council in 2003.
Steve finish his BYU Bachelor of Arts and English Degree in 2001. Steve has volunteered for the United Way¹s Center for Women and Children in Crisis for 13 Years. He has also volunteered in his children¹s school, acted as their soccer coach and scout leader. His service on the Council has included assignments on many Committees inside and outside the City representing the Council. He has currently or in past served on the Bike Path Committee, Budget Committee, Parks & Recreation Board, Senior Citizen Center Advisory Board, Land Use Committee, Arts Council, Public Safety Committee, Air Port Board, Public Works Committee, Utah League of City and Towns Legislative and Policy Committee (attending Member).
Steve Turley Married Kylie Nielson from Cody, Wyoming in 1993. Kylie attended BYU and Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Masters in American Studies. Steve Turley Served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in New Zealand.. They live in the Spring Creek Neighborhood of Provo with their busy children.
